“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself In the service of others”
Financial Services Coalition – Puget Sound (FSC-PS) Charitable Foundation was established in February 2008 to support the education and community activities of the Urban Financial Services Coalition – Puget Sound (UFSC-PS) Chapter as the primary source of scholarship funds and community grants for the organization with the objective of encouraging and assisting minorities in entering and advancing their careers in the financial services industry.
We are supporting a variety of programs and looking for both “skills-based volunteers” to share their knowledge of the financial services industry as well as “community volunteers” for helping out in the support area functions such as Human resources and Project Management.
Whether you have a few hours each week, a few days each year or are able to devote considerably more time (up to 20 hours each week), we can use your help.
Volunteering your time and skills is a great way to give back to your community and make a valuable positive affect on people. But you will discover that there are other benefits to being a volunteer member of FSC-PS.
- Learning new skills that may be applicable in personal and professional situations.
- Meet new people. Volunteering will allow you to meet different kinds of people through team projects and events.
- Gain confidence by trying something new and build a sense of achievement.
- Having fun! Volunteering is fun and you will enjoy yourself.
